TIBERIAN SUN GUIDE 2026

GDI STRUCTURES -4

COMPONENT TOWER:

CT built in weak wall: The Component Tower can be built on top of a GDI Wall Section, but not a Nod Wall Section. The Laser, Sam, Obelisk can not do this. A secondary use is to place the Component Tower on a weak GDI Wall that has not been destroyed yet. (Useful for stopping units from entering a bottleneck into your base).

CT no in LF: Component Towers can not be built inside two connected Laser Fence Posts like a GDI or Nod Gate can.

GDI POWER PLANT

BARRACKS

Low health ally soldier by Barrack = Medic: If you see your Nod ally putting low health soldiers in front of your Barricks, make medics to heal them immediately. Your partner should not have to ask. In emergency finish building whatever you were building that was necessary, then heal the units with medics.

POWER TURBINE

Turbine cheap: Power Turbine can be added quickly even if GDI base is on low power, you can still make it pretty fast to restore power.

VULCAN CANNON UPGRADE

Vulcan cheap: Vulcan Cannon is one of the few cheap items you might want to build before even returning power to your GDI base because its so cheap to add onto a Component Tower.

RPG UPGRADE

RPG clears Tib: The RPG Upgrade can destroy Tiberium on the ground. This can be useful in visceroid games when you need space to build stuff like walls. The Nod Laser can not do this.

Early RPG anti scout: An early RPG upgrade in the front of your base in the likely angle of scouts approaching is nice. It can easily eliminate speedy scout vehicles like Attack Buggy, Attack Cycle, and Woverine.

RPG + wall vs Tick: You can place two walls in front of RPG and the Tick Tank is likely to hit the wall when trying to fire on the RPG Upgrade. (Note: Unless you are at max range of the Tick Tank or 1 cell from the Max range of Tick Tank. Its worth a try if enemy doesn't know that counter.

GDI SAM UPGRADE

SERVICE DEPOT

Stacked SD sell = emp frozen: If you stack vehicles on a Service Depot, then sell the Service Depot, the vehicles can be frozen by EMP Cannon.

Sell on Ally SD: You can sell your vehicles on ally Service Depot, just not your other planes. (Carryall might work, not sure)

SD sell damaged units: Consider selling damaged vehicles or planes on your Service Depot instead of healing them.

SD heals stealthed: The Service Depot can heal vehicles and planes under stealth without unstealthing. This is better than the Mobile Repair Vehicle that unstealths vehicles when it repairs them. Of course you need both Nod and GDI technology to stealth a Service Depot. Consider massing multiple Stealthed Service Depots in late game for your Long game huge Titan rush.

GDI UPGRADE CENTER

Power down full seeker/ion: If you have a full Hunter Seeker timer and a full Ion Cannon, you can power down the GDI Upgrade Center until you want to actually use them. Save power when you need to. Just remember to power it back up to use the Hunter Seeker or Ion Cannon.

SEEKER

GDI Seeker exits same GDI upgrade: GDI Seeker always comes out of the same GDI Upgrade Center. Not sure how to control which one it comes out of like with newest built Temple of Nod.

ION CANNON

Ion Cannon = man fire: If you target a group of soldiers, some of them might get caught on fire. If any other soldiers run over the men while they are on fire, it can slightly damage your men running by. So Ion Cannon might do more damage if you target the front of a large group of soldiers. The soldiers behind that were not hit by Ion Cannon might run over the ones caught on fire.

Stacked = Best Ion: The Ion Cannon can destroy a very large number of stacked soldiers, tanks, or planes. If you notice the enemy stacking units, consider using the Ion Cannon. Stacked Banshee or Orca Bomber can be a very expensive Ion Cannon Attack

FIRESTORM GENERATOR

FIRESTORM WALL SECTION

FS no go when die: You don't have to kill all the enemy Firestorm Wall Sections to end a game. Once a player is dead in a team game, their Firestorm Walls will remain. (Note: Surviving GDI ally or double tech ally might be able to scare enemy player that didnt realize it was your Firestorm and not your allys.)

Plane Crash FS down juke: When a plane crashes onto your Firestorm, it can damage the Firestorm Timer making it speed up. If you turn off your Firestorm Defense right before the plane crashes, the enemy might think your Firestorm is down because of the plane crash.

Flicker on/off for deter: Deter the enemy from sending planes by turning your fiirestorm on and off if you think, that they think it might be down, for whatever reason. ( Like a plane crashing into it.)

No CT/Wall/LF on FS: No structures can be built on top of an existing Firestorm Section, not gates, walls, or CT.

Stack units faster FS wall APC: Drive a APC onto a Firestorm Wall Section that is not actively producing Firestorm Defense. Send units into the APC and you won't have to stop them, they all stack immediately. If you move the APC afterwards, only a few of the men unstack.
