2024 TIBERIAN SUN STRATEGY GUIDE

 

TIBERIAN SUN UNIT AND STRUCTURE ---WEAPON RANGES---

 

The weapon ranges appear to shoot farther left and right than they do north or south, but this is because the cells on the map are about twice as wide as they are tall. The weapon ranges appear oval (ovecular) in shape but they are actually a circle. The way that the ranges were measured was by putting waypoint chains in a straight line across the map and seeing how far each unit could shoot.

All the ranges were tested on flat ground. Terrain might affect some units range. (Shooting from uphill might make some units like Artillery shoot farther)

​

 

NOD UNIT WEAPON RANGES

 

INFANTRY ---------------------2 cells

​

ROCKET INFANTRY --------4 cells

​

CYBORG------------------------2 cells

​

ATTACK CYCLE---------------3 cells

​

ATTACK BUGGY---------------2 cells

​

TICK TANK----------------------5-5 cells (The Tick Tank has a range of 5 cells when deployed or undeployed, one more than Titan)

ARTILLERY---------------------4-15 cells   (The Artillery has a minimum range of 4 cells, it will not shoot units closer than 4 cells.)

DEVIL TONGUE---------------2 cells (The Devil Tongue can fire at an object 2 cells away, but the flame extends another 3rd and will cause damage. The very tip of the flame extends to almost 4 cells, but will not cause damage at the 4 cell range. The Devil Tongue causes the most damage to units or structures that are 1 cell away)

STEALTH TANK---------------4 cells

CYBORG COMMANDO-----4 cells

 

HARPY---------------------------3 cells (one less than the Orca Fighter)

BANSHEE-----------------------1 cell (The Banshee starts firing at its target when it is 1 cell away)

 

NOD STRUCTURE WEAPON RANGES

 

LASER---------------------------3 cells

OBELISK OF LIGHT----------7 cells  (The Obelisk of Light has a 1 cell longer range than the RPG, 2 cell range longer than the Tick Tank, and a 3 cell range longer than the Titan.)

NOD SAM-----------------------10 cells (Much longer range than any plane)

 

 

 

GDI UNIT WEAPON RANGES

 

INFANTRY---------------------2 cells

DISC THROWER------------3-6 cells (Force fire CNTL on the ground extends the range 3 more cells on flat land) 

​

JUMP JET INFANTRY------3-3 cells (The JJ's range is 3 cells in the air, and 3 cells on the ground = same)

​

WOLVERINE------------------3 cells

​

TITAN---------------------------4 cells (The Titan has 1 cell range less than the Tick Tank)

​

HOVER MRLS----------------5 cells (The hover Mrls has a range of 5 cells, one more than Titan, If you target a unit that is 1 cell away, the Hover Mrls will shoot it, but the HoverMrls will also back off 4 cells in the opposite direction that it is shooting the unit, while it shoots.)

DISRUPTER-------------------4 cells (If you send the Disrupter in the opposite direction that it is shooting while holding the "Q" button, the Disrupter will continue its last shot while it drives 1-2 cells away from the unit it is shooting. It will not shoot again at that longer 6 cell range. The Disrupter will drive back to within 4 cells and start shooting again at the 4 cell range.)

GHOST STALKER-----------4 cells

MAMMOTH MK2-------------5 cells

 

ORCA FIGHTER-------------4 cells (One cell farther than the Harpy)

ORCA BOMBER-------------2-X-2 cells (5 total cells affected)  The Orca Bomber normally starts shooting a ground target 2 cells before it gets to the target. The Orca Bomber continues shooting for 2 cells after the target. This makes a total of 5 cells on the ground that get bombed. If you make the Orca Bomber Power Bomb, or Stack the Orca Bombers and then Power Bomb (a.k.a.Perfect Power Bomb P.P.B.), the Orca Bomber will drop its first bomb directly over the target and extend past the target for 2 cells. This makes a total of 3 cells affected with P.B and P.P.B.

 

GDI STRUCTURE WEAPON RANGES

 

VULCAN CANNON---------4 cells

​

RPG UPGRADE-------------2-6 cells (The RPG can not hit a unit 1 cell away, right next to the RPG Upgrade, it's minimum range is 2 cells. The RPG's range is 2 cells longer than a Titan, and 1 cell longer than a Tick Tank.)

SAM UPGRADE-------------10 cells (Much farther than any plane)
